Liam and Keegan's playdate!

Liam and I met with Farrell and Keegan for lunch today...such a beautiful day! Keegan's parents have been such wonderful friends for several years now. The boys were born within 3 weeks of each other and we have many photos of the early get-togethers! They are finally old enough to play and interact. We had so much fun catching up and visiting and watching our adorable kiddos interact. We are all so blessed! Looking forward to many more play dates, we definitely need to do this more often :) ...by the way, this is as we were leaving, Keegan gave Liam a huge hug goodbye!

Yes, he always has to one-up me ;) Driver retired...super, amazing awesome guy, but William is now driving this big truck instead of the pumper. I guess he is such a great cook at the firestation, they want him to make as few runs as possible so dinner is ready. So proud of him, 15 years in and it's finally time for him to slow a bit; oh, and drive the big truck! Great 15 years William...me and the kiddos are very proud of you!

An amazing friend, Ronnie Bennett we have known for a couple of decades (ouch) is a pro-photographer now. We went to highschool with him and he does this for a living. Very talented and he came to William's firestation to take our family pictures.

We picked Logan up from school early so he could play in the snow! Last time we had snow was 5 years ago on Christmas Eve! It could be a decade before we see this white stuff out here again, so we wanted to make sure he was able to enjoy an official "snow day!" This is what the truck looked like before we went to pick him up!

My mother gave me this and it was made from Roses at my Grandfather's funeral earlier this year. They selected Pink & White to represent my Nana and Grandpa who both passed away this year. The beads are made from the roses, and it has silver and crystal. I love it but hate to wear it too much because I am so worried about anything happening to it. Such an incredible gift, Thanks Mom and know that Nana and Grandpa are watching over all of us during the holidays! I think about them all the time :)

Halloween 2009

I know this is late but I wanted to post a picture of the boys from Halloween. They both re-used costumes. Logan wanted to wear his old Scream costume and we decided to just use Liam's costume from last year. Logan went trick-or-treating with friends and we took Liam to a few houses before going to a costume party with some of William's co-workers.

Foster/Lamar is the huge game of the year (Foster won!) Logan's Junior High band was invited to play at it during the 1st half! Such an honor! This was their 1st time playing at a game (and it was a packed house!) They did amazing...and if I didn't know better, I would have thought they were the High School band! Great job Logan and Briscoe's band!!!

Yes, we love fire. I think it is a requirement for all fire fighter families! :)
Posted by Picasa

Oh, this sucker was really cool!

This sucker lives at Hobby Airport. The guys will not even have to exit this vehicle to put out a fire at the airport! I really enjoyed this demonstration...and did I mention there was more fire!!!

Opening day at the Fair coming to an end!

We brought Sammy with us, but his Mom (Rhonda) was there with his youngest brother. We met up with them later as Logan and Sammy had an extra credit project for school in the Ag. tent. The boys completed their GT extra credit work and I got to visit with my buddy Rhonda! We stole Sammy and held him capture at our home for the evening and the boys dined on pizza and Dr Pepper and made it an early night. I love the way the Fair knocks everyone out before 10:00pm!!!! Looking forward to next year's Ft. Bend County fair!!!

Posted by Picasa

Fort Bend County Fair!!!

This is why I love living in Fort Bend! The whole city shuts down on a Friday, kids get in free on opening day, and it is an entire day of family traditions, fun, rides, games, food, running into neighbors, co-workers, buddies, etc! This is the end of the day with sleepy children...and one goldfish that Logan won (dangit!)

Narnia!

Posted by Picasa

oops...we're in Narnia!

When we got there, I thought it was odd that everything was related to this movie. These suckers towered over us and we had to walk under 4. I kinda started thinking we took a wrong move shortly after this exhibit!
Posted by Picasa

Logan & Liam...in a fake tree!!!

I took the boys to the 2ND day opening of the new Sugar Land Museum of Science...only 10 minutes away!!! We had so much fun. It is still small and I imagine they will continue to add exhibits but we saw so many cool things! Live frog/toad exhibit was super-cool, they had a toad that was bigger then my face! Apparently some individuals in foreign countries eat them, but they did not make me hungry one bit! We even accidentally walked through the special "Narnia" exhibit backwards...oops! We went upstairs and found another gift shop and while walking through we continued into the exit of the exhibit! We were just looking for the rest of the museum (it is still a really small venue until they add and expand into the gigantic building!) Narnia was way cool and after walking through it backwards, I probably would have paid extra to see it! Such an awkward moment!
