Yes, we love fire. I think it is a requirement for all fire fighter families! :)

Oh, this sucker was really cool!

This sucker lives at Hobby Airport. The guys will not even have to exit this vehicle to put out a fire at the airport! I really enjoyed this demonstration...and did I mention there was more fire!!!

The Teens!

Logan brought 2 friends this year and they were so much fun to watch! On the shuttle to the event, the cell phones were attached to their heads the entire time! Oh my gosh, here is when the fun stuff begins! We are now parents of a teenager...and a 3 year old!

Opening day at the Fair coming to an end!

We brought Sammy with us, but his Mom (Rhonda) was there with his youngest brother. We met up with them later as Logan and Sammy had an extra credit project for school in the Ag. tent. The boys completed their GT extra credit work and I got to visit with my buddy Rhonda! We stole Sammy and held him capture at our home for the evening and the boys dined on pizza and Dr Pepper and made it an early night. I love the way the Fair knocks everyone out before 10:00pm!!!! Looking forward to next year's Ft. Bend County fair!!!

Funky Fair Fish!

The day after the fair, Logan bought 3 more goldfish to keep his skanky "Fair Fish" company. His "Fair Fish" is still alive and kicking...2 out 3 of the "purchased fished" are no longer with us! Rock on skanky Fair Fish!

Fort Bend County Fair!!!

This is why I love living in Fort Bend! The whole city shuts down on a Friday, kids get in free on opening day, and it is an entire day of family traditions, fun, rides, games, food, running into neighbors, co-workers, buddies, etc! This is the end of the day with sleepy children...and one goldfish that Logan won (dangit!)

Narnia!

Posted by Picasa

oops...we're in Narnia!

When we got there, I thought it was odd that everything was related to this movie. These suckers towered over us and we had to walk under 4. I kinda started thinking we took a wrong move shortly after this exhibit!

Logan & Liam...in a fake tree!!!

I took the boys to the 2ND day opening of the new Sugar Land Museum of Science...only 10 minutes away!!! We had so much fun. It is still small and I imagine they will continue to add exhibits but we saw so many cool things! Live frog/toad exhibit was super-cool, they had a toad that was bigger then my face! Apparently some individuals in foreign countries eat them, but they did not make me hungry one bit! We even accidentally walked through the special "Narnia" exhibit backwards...oops! We went upstairs and found another gift shop and while walking through we continued into the exit of the exhibit! We were just looking for the rest of the museum (it is still a really small venue until they add and expand into the gigantic building!) Narnia was way cool and after walking through it backwards, I probably would have paid extra to see it! Such an awkward moment!

Logan and mini-Logan (Liam!)

Liam insisted on wearing this! He is so wild, and sweet, and so much fun! After a decade we are so happy to be a family of four! He is very much opposite of Logan and is such a different personality...they both have such wonderful talents and it is so cool watching our boys interact! This has been such an adventure and we are all enjoying every second! FYI, Tuesday morning (9/8) he is finally having his ABR (hearing test) completed. Once and for all we want to rule out anything that has been keeping him behind on speech and comprehension. Memorial Herman, 7:30am...I'll post the results! ...I put him to bed tonight watching Pete's Dragon on the lap top(curled up on my lap) That was my #1 movie growing up...he loved it! Me too! :)

Oh no....such a serious Hollister commercial pose!

My 5'9 CHILD has crossed on to pre-teen stuff...and I feel so old! This is Logan and his BF since they started school, Sammy. This is after their female "friends" straightened their hair...with my straightener! He's in all GT classes in 7th grade, Band (Trombone), Spanish, everything else...and Basketball!!!! About time this super tall athlete starts Basketball! I could not wait (I was in Basketball throughout school) SNIFF...my baby is growing up too fast! He's always going to be my baby though! :)

Logan, Sammy, Allisa, Liam, and Anna

So these female friends of Logan and his buddy, Sammy have been coming over for dinner every weekend. Very sweet girls but am I ready for this? So sweet and so polite, but wow...when did all this happen? They took my hair straightener the other night and "fixed" Logan and Sammy's hair! It did look awesome, but I never imagined I would ever see the day I tell my (next month 13 year old son) please make sure you put my hair straightener back in my bathroom when you are done with it! Damn you Zack Efron for starting this trend!

My Logan!!!

Liam has started referring to Logan as "my Logan." I guess with the ten year age difference, he is not quite sure what Logan is right now. He knows Mommy, and Daddy, and My Logan! He adores his big brother and Logan is always running around looking after Liam (without us even asking for help!) Logan is so amazing, he started 7th grade, taking Spanish classes, in the gifted program so he has all GT classes including band (trombone again) BASKETBALL (woo-hoo, I played basketball so I am very excited about this!) When your 12 year old is 5'9, you really have to encourage the hoops! :) Looking forward to great things ahead for Logan, and he will be such an amazing role model for his little brother! I can't wait for these basketball games to start...I hope I can keep my mouth shut and not embarrass Logan!!!
