Halloween!!!

Halloween is a pretty big deal in my neighborhood. Actually, our neighborhood goes way-out for every holiday! We are one of the only neighborhoods I know of that have visitors driving around to look at Halloween lights and decorations. We love our holidays out here! We live on one of the more "popular streets" and have quite a bit of traffic! Our street is wider for golf carts, so people from surrounding communities can drive in and park along our street and walk from house to house. We bought 11 (yes, eleven!) bags of candy to prepare. We decided it was too much, and that I would eat the leftovers! We gave 2 bags to my neighbor. She had not bought her candy yet, so we passed them along. We ended up going through all 9 bags we had left! We turned everything off at about 9:15, and called it a night!

Sad little bumble bee!

Liam happened to get up at 6:00am today...and only took a 1 1/2 hour nap. He was so sleepy and cranky! Poor guy, we made him dress up anyway for a photo-op. We even took him to visit a few neighbors so they could see his costume. He looked so cute, I wish he could have snuck in a smile!

Spooky Logan...I mean "Jason!"

The boys!

Liam did not like his costume much. Logan was so excited to go meet his buddies and trick-or-treat, but he stuck around to take some photos.

Logan and Liam

Logan tried taking his mask off to see if it would make Liam stop crying.

Logan and his spooky gang!

Logan is old enough now to trick-or-treat by himself with friends. Most of his friends live within walking distance, and they all have cell phones now. He let us know he planned on going with his (female) buddies Molly and Hannah. He said a few of their other friends were going too. William asked if he could go with them, and for the first time Logan said "No Dad!" We knew this day would come, but we were not prepared! First of all, "Daddy" is now "Dad" when his friends are around. Apparently it is cooler. Second of all, we are no longer needed to trick-or-treat with Logan. He's growing up, and we just didn't see it coming!

When the group showed up at our house, I was putting Liam to bed and made William bring them in and take a photo. Logan said, "sorry guys, I tried to get us out of here quicker, but I told you this would happen!" They really are great kiddos, and we got some great photos. The girl 2 down from Logan is his longest known friend. She went to La Petitte with him way back when, and now they are in 5th grade together (and still great friends!) Great group of buddies, but I still can't believe the years flew by so quickly!

Liam's Halloween aftermath!

After we brought Liam home, we changed him into his skull t-shirt and he ran through the house for a bit with his bag of candy. The bag is bigger than him and he only had about 5 goodies in it. I think he was glad to finally get that crazy costume off!

One little trick-or-treater pooped out early!

Ok, for once I will try and put these photos in order! I usually post them backwards, I know! Anyway, We took Liam to a couple of neighbor's houses. He got a few little pieces of candy, but we really think he did not like his bumble bee costume this year. He was already sleepy, and the costume bothered him. He came home, and collapsed from all the excitement! (I put him to bed right after this picture and he fell asleep fast!)

Liam playing!

We just switched to the same church my cousin's Confirmation was held at. It is great because it is in our neighborhood, we really enjoy it, the people are super nice, and we get to see my Aunt, Uncle and cousins every Sunday! This is Liam playing in the church playground after the Confirmation.

Lisa and Amanda

Here is a picture of both of my cousins. Lisa and Amanda. I still can't believe how much they have grown! I feel so old because we have photos of me and William holding each of them in the hospital after they were born! We were dating that long ago!

Amanda

My cousin Amanda made her Confirmation last Sunday. It was such a great day! My mom was in town, so she was able to go also. After church, we took photos and we all met for lunch at Sweet Mesquite.

Liam, the Warrior!

Liam got a hold of a portion of Logan's Halloween costume. I'm so glad it is plastic! By the way, he is looking at something to stab with his weapon...the something ended up being me! No biggie, but when Logan went to the Ren-fest w/ his Aunt and Uncle this weekend, we insructed them not to let him purchase any weapons...apparently his little bro knows how to use them!

Logan...soccer star!
