Our new baby
So we now own a 4 month old Aussie/Catahoula mix. We named her Sydney. She is an Australian bred working dog. She is bred to heard cattle. It is very entertaining watching her try and herd Liam from room to room! So far, so good. She is very sweet, we just need to make sure she gets alot of exercise!
Dolphins
Booo...I swear there were several dolphins playing out there (hundreds, lol) You can kind of see them near the top of the water but every time I took a pic, they were gone....super quick! Very cool though, they were slapping their tail fins on top of the water! Logan got video, so I may try and post some next week.
Nana and the boys at the beach.
I still can not believe how close the shore line is and the visibility! They could literally turn and wave at us!
Nana walking the kiddos down to the beach!
It is amazing that with all the homes gone, we can actually see them at the beach! We used to have to call to ask where they are so we could come join them.
The view from Mom & John's new home!
No obstructed views this time! Amazing views, words can not describe!!! Hard to believe they used to have a row of homes across the street, and another street with homes on both sides in front of that. Ike really destroyed so many homes. Forynately, their new home is built to withstand those kind of storms and this sucker is here to stay!
Hot tub time-machine!
We left Galveston and came to visit Mom & John. Mom cooked some amazing meals, I probably gained 5 pounds just that weekend! So worth it though, I really enjoyed seeing them again, and seeing their new home! I am so so happy they are finally back at the beach and in their new home. It is absolutely beautiful! :)
Swimming at Galveston the day after Philip's birthday
The kids had a blast, the adults sipped on bottles of water while recovering from the previous night! No oil yet on these beaches, swim while you can!
Group shot at Voo-Doo Lounge in Galveston
and no, we have no idea who the guy on the far left is...lol! He kinda gravitated towards our photo and here he is.....ackward!
Me and William at "The Drip" in Galveston
Our friend's oldest daughter babysat for us and we partied here with Philip's friends and family for his birthday. We had such a nice time and really enjoyed seeing Philip, Lisa, Scout, and their family members again!
Logan in Galveston
All of a sudden, my 1st "baby" looks so grown up! He keeps having these growth spurts and it's not stopping anytime soon! He is already taller than me ...and still growing! My 13 yr old is about 5'11.
Liam ready for a few days in Galveston & Crystal Beach!
Long over-due blog updates! Last weekend we stayed in Galveston for a few days with some friends for our buddy Philip's birthday. We left and went to Crystal Beach to stay with Nana & Grandpa John. We had such a nice weekend with great friends, and really enjoyed visiting with my mom! Their new home is so beautiful and I am so happy to see them at the beach again. Mom and John belong at the beach :)
