I look like my Nana!

My whole life I tried to figure out who I looked like on both my mom and dad's side of the family. Today we took the kiddos to the Shrine Circus and when I saw this photo, I immediately thought I resembled my Nana! Same pose, same smile, eyes, face, etc. I am blessed :)

The boys at the Shrine Circus!

Vickie and Mike gave us 4 tickets to the Shrine Circus. Such an awesome gift! We had so much fun :) This is the first time we have been to a circus with either of our children. Both kiddos loved it...so did we! Super awesome and my mouth hurts from smiling so much!

Me and William before a retirement party.

Captain Burleson's retirement party was today. We enjoyed seeing everyone and it was nice hearing what everyone had to say to him. We were so happy when my mom and John showed up as well as Rudy and Sally! Who knew we would all get to see eachother today!!!

Daddy and Liam

William was in the memorial service for the 2 firefighters that lost their lives in a fire. Liam wore his HFD shirt to show support! Beautiful memorial service, extremely sad but very professional and amazing to see. Unfortunately we have been to too many of these services. Please keep HFD in your prayers as well as Ms. Leigh Boone. Over 200 Houston firefighters (including William) will be attending her funeral tomorrow. She passed away when sta. 16's ladder truck was involved in an accident with another firetruck. The members of HFD will wear dress uniforms and instead of putting a black strip over their badges like they do when one of their own passes away, they will be placing pink strips over their badges for Leigh and lining the entrance way as they salute when her coffin is brought inside the church. Many heavy hearts this month, but I am so proud of HFD's professionalism and generosity.
