Movie time

We met Farrell and Keegan for baby-day at Alamo Drafthouse today. We watched (attempted to watch) The Blak Dahlia. Liam apparently thought it was perfectly acceptable to cry, hiccup, grunt loudly for 20 minutes (yes, there was a reason for this grunting!) and talk through the 1st half of the movie (did I mention the crying?)

Keegan is crying in the photo, but he was actually on his best behavior for most of the movie and decided to cry at the end. He did however pass a little gas when he thought no one was paying attention...of course we had to laugh!

We may have missed much of the movie, but I still had a good time. It was great to get out of the house and to see Farrell and Keegan. The food was good, and we got to visit before the movie started. We'll try again, but I will make sure Liam does not have any vaccine shots beforehand! (hopefully nobody views the photo as a review of the movie!) Posted by Picasa

2 months old

Today is Liam's 2 month birthday. He also had his 2 month doctor appointment this morning. He had 4 shots and an oral vaccine so he is not feeling much in the mood to have his photo taken. I will try to take his 2 month photo this evening, but we may have to wait and try again tomorrow.

He now weighs in at 9 lbs, 10 ozs and measures 20 inches long. I was told he is in the 5th percentile for head, 3rd percentile for weight, and length is not quite on the charts yet but slowly getting there! I am just thrilled that he is on the charts. Before you know it he will catch up to the other babies his age. Everything else looked great and he does not have another doctor appointment until he is 4 months old. Posted by Picasa

Same camp fire song, reversed roles!

This photo makes me laugh! They were demonstrating a song with Jessica singing and Aunt Sally in charge of the foot-work. Posted by Picasa

Campfire songs

Jessica came by with Aunt Sally Sunday evening to pick up Xander. They camped over the weekend with the Brownie's. Jessica had such a wonderful time. She sang us some new campfire songs. Posted by Picasa

Train ride

As you can see, Xander was also happy with his choice! When we were done feeding the sting rays, we walked outside at the same time Xander, Nana and Grandpa John went by on the train! Talk about timing! (I love this photo, Xander looks like he is having a blast!) Posted by Picasa

Logan feeding the sting rays

Feeding the sting rays is a lot of fun! They pop up onto the edges and try to take the fish out of your hands. I am surprised they don't slide right out of the tank! Logan had a blast and ended up covered in water! Posted by Picasa
We were having so much fun, time flew by! Xander wanted to ride the train, and Logan wanted to feed the sting rays. We had to split up briefly to make sure this was possible. Here is a photo I took of Logan and Liam before the three of us went in to feed the sting rays. Posted by Picasa

Logan & Xander at Joe's Crab Shack

Sunday, Nana and Grandpa John took us to Kemah. It was such a beautiful day we sat outside and watched the boats go by. There was a lady walking around making balloon treats for the kids. Logan had a shark-hat, and Xander had a plane.  Posted by Picasa

Now that I am done posting the new photos from this evening, I realized that I did not have any photos of Liam. He was not having a bad hair day so I am not sure what happened. I wanted to post a quick Liam update...

I took Liam to the doctor yesterday for his irritated eye. First of all, he weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs, 4ozs!!! Not bad considering his birth weight was 4 lbs, 15 ozs. He weighed a little over 6 lbs at his 1 month check up which was about 3 weeks ago. His watering eye ended up being pink eye...in both eyes. I didn't even realize his left eye was watering. Apparently he had a cold (again, I didn't know) which caused a blocked tear duct which caused pink eye (I think that was what the doctor said.) He is much better now that he has been using the drops and thankfully he is not contagious!

This weekend, I am taking Logan, Liam, and Alex to the beach to visit Nana. This will be Liam's first visit to Nana's house!!! I should have some great photos after our visit! Posted by Picasa

Green belt!

Here is Logan receiving his green belt from Mr. Pollard (Keegan's Dad!) He has been so excited about this day! Not only does he advance to a higher rank in Taekwondo, he also begins sparring! We purchased his protective gear today and he can not wait to use it. He is so excited, he wants to go to lessons every day! (We usually try to go about 3 times/week)  Posted by Picasa

Stars

Logan had his award ceemony this evening for passing his test to receive his green belt. First, all the children were handed out stars designating how well they behave in school. This is based on information submitted by the childrens' teachers. You can receive no stars, 1 star, 2 stars, or 3 stars depending on how well you behaved in the weeks prior to the award ceremony. The stars are then stitched onto your belt. Logan received 2 stars.  Posted by Picasa
