We originally drug Logan's old (10 years old!) baby swing out of the attic and cleaned it up for Liam. It was the best thing ever. He loved it, and it always lulled him to sleep. Yippee for baby swings! Low and behold the horror that broke out in our house early last night when the swing decided to quit working on us for good! Liam was used to his routine, and since the swing was not moving, he refused to come out of it until it rocked! While William tried desperately to make duct-tape repairs, I continued to manually rock him. This attempt failed and it was a very long night for all the Aldens! As a result, we gave Liam his Christmas gift a little early from mommy, daddy, and Logan. Yes, it was a new swing! Super cool, way more advanced than the swings 10 years ago, and Liam fell asleep within 20 minutes! I had to take a picture of Liam's very first Christmas gift. He didn't even mind that we didn't wrap it.
