Liam's 18 mont appt (a bit late)

We finally brought Liam to his 18 mo appt today. He actually turned 18 mo on January 26th. Our little preemie is definitaly catching up quick! Here are his newest stats as of today's appointment....

Height: 34 inches (90% range!!!)
Weight: 25.75 lbs (50%...about as heavy as a turkey!)
Head Circumference: 47 cm (ok, only 25% but he's catching up and the Dr. said by 6 years old he will be right on track!)

Liam is still only saying 3 (words?) He says "Ma-ma," "Da-Da," and "Uh-oh!" The Doctor said he should be saying at least 30 words, but he has the concept and she even saw him try to mimic words using the correct syllables and tone changes. Because he has the concept down, we were told this is normal for babies born early and he is doing extremely well. Any day now, he should begin speaking more.

We were pretty shocked at the 90% range for height! We always worried he would not be as tall as his brother. Logan had an appointment last month and registered at 5'3 1/2 feet tall at 11 years old. When I asked what percentile, I was giggled at and told he is off the charts and therfore has no registered percentile. Apparently his little brother is following in his footsteps!

Take notice of the firetruck he is holding. When I bathed him a few days ago, I found an old firetruck Logan used to love taking in his bath to play with. I apparently stashed it away in their bathroom closet. I gave it to Liam and he loves it! He takes it everywhere!
